A classic and stuff !

I had a couples of movies in mind. I watched a tons recently (Downloaded most of them, some at the theater). Today I was talking to my half-boss about how Office Space was good and funny. Then I realised it's a movie I watched SO much. I know most of the script :)

So If you wanna watch something really good and funny. It's my favorite humor movie (And I don't like a lots of humor movie). This one with Top Secret, maybe the 2 HotShots, that's about all the humorist movie I own..

Written and Directed by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-head which I really hate), with Gary Cole and Jennifer Aniston... Good actors thought all the movie really (well for me).

It's an old movie, I guess a lots of peoples saw it already, but it's never been translated in french... At least I never found out a french version. So many some peoples will discover something new !

Talking about translation, I guess most peoples realised that my english is poor ;) But hey I'm not making progress so it's like my french, I suck at languages. I don't speak english that bad thought. (Enough to have normal conversations)

It's fun to have visitors around, I try to come up with some interesting stuffs. It's sure not easy, I have a simple life ;)

For those you believe I'm a pirate and download too much movies, I must say I usually buy most movies I like... (Sorry for the bad or cheap productions around hehe).

That's remember me, when I get some cash I need to buy:
- Mr and Mrs Smith (when it get out)
- Immortal (Ad Vitam)
- Constantine
- The Dukes of Hazzard
- Bourne Identity / Supremacy
- Silence of the lambs / Red Dragon / Hannibal
- Blade III (Well I have the 2 first)
- Dark City
- Sin City
- Pulp fiction (it's always too expensive)
- Kill Bill 1 & 2
- Alexander (I might buy it not sure, I liked the style, the images, but a bit weird)

I guess I just place a big order when I get my bonus in october (end of it).. God I have so much stuff to pay and buy. (especially debt and visa).

That's would be great If I could buy a poker table (I saw a nice oval one at 200$, 10 spots), some real expensive poker chips (see post below), 5-6 PSP games, the DVDs list up there, and more porto ;) Hmmm Maybe I should buy a new shirt to go with my suit, I was thinking about something really flashy, but not sure I want to spend 200$ on a nice shirt + tie that would make me look like a top model...Hmm Hmmmmm Maybe I should raise my visa another 1000$, they love me, I pay so much interest every month to them. (It's not even funny). If I had no debt, I would actually balance my budget, but the problem is I pay a lots of interest, so I have to get more loans to pay that.

Hey, I should check for a rich woman around, maybe they exist ;) Anyone reading my blog wanna buy me a ticket to her home, so we can be happy and live together ?! Like Keira..

Back to reality, I played some poker with the fulltiltpoker.com site (program you download). I win quite a lots, its fun you can play for free or for cash. I might put some money soon in my account to try for real (there is some cheap 5c/10c tables). Me and friends are talking about playing poke more regular now, that's would be really great. Like every week, every 2 weeks...

It's been a strange week, at least tomorow is the last day. I have off friday since I worked this weekend and I didn't took my half-day last friday ! (too bad I have to work this weekend, I would have been 4 days off). I have big work to do this weekend, but at least it's a lots of stuff that I only have to wait.. I start database dump... take 2 hours, I start the backup, take 2 hours, etc. Just long it's not that bad at least...

I'm thinking a lots about moving out of my apt. I should do a post later about it :)

I'm better stop typing here, nobody will read that far and I will have nothing to post all week long =P

Mo-ped, Vepas, ...

In 3 years (less actually), my car payment will be over, my debt will be way lower (that's a stupid theory, I know). I should finally be able to breath a bit like I used to do before when I was without car and rich.

You girls read my mind ;) My brother just pass his motocycle license and bought a nice helmet, gloves etc... Damn this is cool, I want to do that once I get more cash. So I was checking a lots around, we went to the bike exposition this summer. I know which kind and type I want now...

Ducati Sporttouring ST3 2005 (Well 2008, if it's similar):

Then you have the apparels which look awesome. This is going to cost me over 1000$ but, when I plan to buy my bike, I will reserve money for that. (ie: debt will be over, I will be famous with extra money in bank, etc.). Maybe I should think diffently thought... Who know... I meet a woman and be happy, do a familly... but oh well since It doesn't happen anyway, I rather have alternative plans like usual :)

(I prefer my Rayban, but oh well I might settle for cheap Oakley ;)

Well the choice of the helmet is way later ;)

That's only in 4 years, stuff have time to change so much not sure why I even plan all that :)

Naheulband 2004 vs 2005

I went to see the show last night, the show was not that good. There was some stuff missing or lacking and the new songs are too much "folk" (folkloriques), and too much slow / stroll (balade). The pre-show was boring, they were 6 pirates (usually its naheulband peoples) singing of course piarte song. 1 or 2 was good, some scketch, not much else. Then the group itself introduced, that part was very good. Then they started with a good classic, some "ads" (comic ads song that last like 30 sec really good for "sponsor" hehe).

Then the "boring" song 3-4 in a row, they are quite decent, but not enough to get me I guess, I will probably buy the CD anyway someday. Also everyone was sitting, last year everyone (almost) was standing up, was making more actions. The elf was missing, she usually play "flute" and sing good, then there is a duel between her, the ministrel and penofchaos. Last year it was AWESOME, this year, they played a bit in duo during a song, that's it. Also last year penofchaos was playing a lots more of instruments (he is impressive). "Bagpipe" (cornemuse) was damn good, some strange instruments, etc. The solo competitions and the 2-3 extra instruments was REALLY missing this year :/

The close was good, 1 good old classic, 1 song from last year start and Gurdil (the best song at the end, last year it was in the middle of the show, it was better imo.

I'll wait next year for more comments ;)

EDIT: Rofl, Radio-Canada (national french television) had an interview (at 22 minutes last 3 minutes, but I think they keep archive only 7 days not sure) with them when they played this week in Sherbrooke... in the middle of it, she ask the dwarf, how it's started, he reply "Well before I give you my telephone number, we have to know each other first". The women was kinda speachless haha, then they resumed to explain. (you can see what they look like on a scene too).

Boring weekend = lack of ideas

Except for the beers friday night, the weekend has been boring... I had to go work twice to close and start the servers (electricity cut). I had to work sunday afternoon to finish stuff (doesn't work this morning). Pretty boring overall. At least I'm probably off friday (not really cool thought I work this weekend anyway, big database maintenance I have to do (including a lots more stuff).

My friend called friday afternoon, he told me he was playing on www.fulltiltpoker.com , I did check it (observe mode possible)... it's cool you can either play for free, or money if you wish, so you can pratice before going for the real deal. I have to register tonight or tomorow...

Naheulband show is tonight, my friend doesn't want to go anymore I think I have to check that today, that's would suck. They are really funny, ill see later. Maybe I can get someone else to come with me.

If you have time (or if you work..), check the new post from madman (Idiots and the DG I work with) - The link is on the right, really funny.

Oh yeah, finally car maintenance was 423$..... It broke my heart ! (and my debt too ;)

Car is so frigging expensive !

(Sentra SE-R Spec V 2003 - My car actually has the logo still in front, the rest is the same - All prices in this post is in canadian money)
48,000km maintenance today, my car is like 2 years old, so it's the expensive one (198$), I asked to check the brake they started to make low noise (69.95$), my driving wheel (not sure its called that) sometime shake, so they have to check to balance the tire... 29,95$, I asked them to check some vibration on the AC ventilator, and they have to change the PVS Valve whatever it is 49,95$ (nothing is included in that stupid 200$ maintenance ??).

I don't know what it's going to cost me at all, at least he called me earlier he told me my brake was at 60% (else is was 300$) but there was rust, that's why I was getting some noise. So It just noise it doesn't matter, I won't change some 60% good brake for 300$ just to remove it. (it's really low, we almost heard nothing).

I'm guessing a goood 350$ at least overall..

If you plan to buy a car, think ahead omg. That's why I have so much debt, I was rich before...
Car - 22000$ - tax 25000 - interest 7.9% - 28000$ish
5 years payment - 472$/month
Insurrance - 169$/month
Gaz - 160$/month++
Plate (Registration) - 255 (21,25$/month)
Driver license - 100$ ? (8,30$/month)
Tire - Winter (390 for 3 years) summer (well i chage next year a good 500$+ for 17 inch sport Z conticontact) over 3 years - 24$/month

Maintenance (a bit hard to calculate but still look like that over 2 years)
70$ base x 5 = 250$
135$ x 2 = 270$
198$ x 1 = 200$
Brake x 1 + 2 check = 250$ + 90$
Tire alignements x 2 = 90$
Tire Balance = 40$
PVS Valve - 50$
990$ - 2years = 41,25$ / month

Not including accidents I got (2 x 250$), tickets (hehe stupid parking one at 42$ x5-6 + 2 250$ tickets), or stuff like wax, windshield washer etc...
- Doesn't include travel gaz too (cost me a good 70$ everytime i go at Saguenay, etc.).

Around - 895$ / month

So when you see a rented car at 199,99$ month (no tax with 3000$ depot).... Think about it !

Immortel Ad Vitam

I was saying to Minona that she should check out that movie, it's special, some of my friends really hate that, but I really like it. It's a weird story thought, but the images, scenes, animations, the mix of real peoples with CGI one, it's cool.

The website is in french, but the movie has been translated in english (at least I saw the english trailer and saw that the DVD had 2 audio track). The DVD has been realease in North American not long ago (like 2-3 weeks).
http://www.immortel-lefilm.com
Internet movie database

Google for it, have a look, that's might make a good night if you wanna watch something weird and you don't know what to rent.... I need to order it thought to put it in my collection. (I order from dvdsoon.com)

Mortal Kombat Conquest vs Baywatch

I was talking to my friend, saying that the series was not bad, the fights are nice (some fights are even impressive), Its really a mid-budget series, decent scenes, not bad CGI (some good, some bad)... and all top model women in bikini or leather that doesn't cover much.. omg! Its unusual on TV. Everywhere, there is always a nice looking women, it's almost scary. I think they put more money on "women figurants and guest with sexy outfit" than the actual actors.

So lets get to the girls! Note: I was not able to find at all actress pictures (too bad I miss 2-3 really pretty one). Of course, I'm too lazy to run the movies to grab screenshots, maybe I should thought for a compare... Because honestly they look WAY Better in the series than these actual pictures...

Also sorry If I don't put more description like which episodes and the name in the series, but that's just to give you an idea !

One of the main actress is:
Kristanna Loken (T3: Rise of the...):

Then we have the invited guests:

Angelica Bridges:

Tiffany Phillips (Her face remember me a really beautiful girl at meet at Saguenay, Rachelle (friend of my friend GF)):

Tahitia Hicks:

Dara Tomanovich:

Andreea Radutoiu:

Jaime Pressly:

Renee Tenison:

Elizabeth Graham:

Leighanne Littrell:

Eva Mendes:

Brooke Burns:

Kathleen Kinmont:

Audie England:

Fabiana Udenio:

Suzanne Stokes:

Baywatch haha, it's not even close to match Mortal Kombat Conquest !

To be annonced in near future....

"Kawanishi also revealed that Sony is already planning a number of USB peripherals for the PSP, and some should be announced in the near future. He commented that a keyboard and mouse are possibilities, as they will facilitate browsing the Web. The Global Positioning System device shown during last year's E3 is another possible peripheral, as it could be used with both the Web browser and PSP games."

GPS ! GPS ! Omg, that's the thing I wish since the PSP was released. I really plan to get myself a car mount and put my PSP and use it as a GPS on my car when I travel, best of both world =P. Neet gaming devices + GPS map when needed on the road = great news ! I just hope they don't annonce it for like 2007.

I have a "man" post coming up tonight. I can't do it from work, quite need some work and women pictures ;) It's related to the Mortal Kombat Conquest series I watched last week / this weekend.

A new SNES emu is out today for the PSP, the performance look awesome, I'm gonna have to check that tonight too.

I drank a couples of glass of one of my bottle of porto already, it's really good. But I have to share it with someone before I drink all 3 ;) Good thing a friend of mine is coming back in montréal for the university, she is a big porto lover too.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, Minona posted some pictures of her and her BF on Simply M. First time I saw a "full" picture of her, wow you really need to go see her. She beat all asian top models around =P Too bad she doesn't have a twin *grins*.

Lifeless body falling

Hehe stupid, but here is a flash where a girl in bikini (lifeless) fall from the sky and bounce into balls, you can throw her with your mouse...

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 video (PSP)

Ohhh I saw a video last night of the game there:
http://files.pspupdates.com/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,10,1117

And it look really awesome, release date is supposed to be Q1 2006. I hope they release it before the end of the year. I wanted to buy FIFA 05, or World Soccer Tour, but they both got bad review and have problems. This game is supposed to be the best of the best. By the look of it. It rule and look already perfect.
I hope soon !

Monday 29 August - Naheulband

I thought I would take a second to talk about them, its a group from France, that are doing the "Dungeon of Naheulbeuk" and "Survivaure". They do a french medieval comic story, it's really good/fun to listen and for the show they do celtic/medieval songs with humor. Really worth it.

The site is Pen Of Chaos I suggest you download some episodes of the story (in french). (I think they up to 22 episodes), try downloading a song or 2 (they have some to download) and some pubs, they really funny sometime. We going to see them next monday, at the Medley, ticket are 25$ but it worth it.

You can also check over at Knarfworld, he is playing in Naheulband too and he do the series "Survivaure" (8 episodes). I like that series a lots, it's just annoying they can only release an episodes every 1-4 months thought.. Bad news !

I'm going to have to wait until tomorow to get my port, I called my friend at the number he gave me, wrong one, since he was not on MSN. I have to wait him to pop online tonight. Damn I really wanted to drink some glass tonight. I guess I stick with beers.

PORT ! (Porto)

A friend messaged me yesterday, he work at the SAQ (Liquor store in Québec) and he reserved me 3 bottles of Ramos Pinto. That's my favorites porto. (I think its called Port in english not sure).

Since he work there he get a 25% rebate ! Awesome, I hope I can pick them up tonight after work since it's closing at 17h30. 30$ by bottle will be around 22-23 max.
That's really nice of him.

New shoes

When I was in vacation, my parents was telling how my shoes were used. (The front was open only after 2 months :/)

These are the bostonian treviso I have. they are very used but i love the look... of course they don't look as good as the one that picture right now, not to mention they broke so fast it scared me. It's a very nice looking piece of crap. (especially for the price, they were 139$ CAD in rebate)...

So last week my father and myself went shopping and I bought (he paid) some Clarks Truso shoes, pretty standard:

Ironicaly today, I just learned at work that they give 1 pair of work shoes (for the "shop") every year. I sure missed them last year. So I went down to grab a pair, there was like 15 models not much. I took some Sporty S2CI by LEMAITRE. They are quite decent for "protective" shoes.

If I knew that maybe I would not have got the Clarks one.... Of course my lovely Bostonian look a bit broke, made me sad for the price I paid for... I never have more than 1 pair of shoes, now I have 3, pretty weird. (Except 1 pair of sandal and 1 old pair of running shoes that I rarely use). At least, these shoes from work were free so I won't whine for that ;) Next year, maybe i get some sport one, or some other models. But that's weird to have "sport" shoes with a steel cap inside, that are anti-static, acidproof, made in polyurethane, etc.

I found out which chips I want to buy

These are the Paulson James Bond 2005 Poker Chips. From the fictional casino in the movie "License to kill". (You even get the cards ;)

They are compression molded chips, in clay, the best posible chips available on the market. Casino chips are the same, under 10 grams, etc. Unfortunatly for me, the best chips come with the best price....
500 chips for like 8 players that I want is 525$US. (300 chips is a bit too short). My friend has 300 chips but 3 kinds 200/50/50 of each, if I want to get all the chips (I want some 1000$ even If I will never use them to get all the set), I have to get at least a package of 500. Life is hard !

Oh well, maybe by the end of the year... Maybe at my bonus end october hmmm... Knowing how much debt I have for the next 3 years and how much my credit card is full. I might want to wait a bit before putting 700$ CAD on chips that I will not really use =P (and get some more PSP games).

Foozball and beers tonight, it's been a while since I played it's going to be good to play again. We used to go play every wednesday. With the summer and others stuff with friends (GF, houses, etc.), most peoples don't have time anymore. Hmmm babyfoot table is another thing I have in my shopping list when I move from my small apt. A nice garlando that's would be so coool.

Anyway, when I think about it, I have more stuff in my shopping list... Stupid money ! :)

Poker addiction !

The more I check about poker the more I'm starting to get addicted...

We don' t play often, once every 3 months or so. I lost twice so far, 20$ and 40$ the last time we played, but one time I won like 80-90$ (not a bad night). Overall I can still lose 20$ next time I play I guess. Anyway, the last time we played, someone who play a lots with others peoples was there and he won the 240$. That's made me thing my strategies sucked. Then I watched Rounders (Matt deamon movie), he keep telling how poker is skill and nothing to do with luck. I went on mininova.org to download poker stuff recently after my travel to Saguenay (since we were talking about pokers there with my friends in vacation).

I got a really nice PDF (It's a book I guess) called, The Intelligent Way of Texas Hold'em Poker (it was actually a .zip with more stuff in it like 23 megs 3-way something if you ever try to get download it). This book is good, really good. It explain everything, from poker casino room to internet online poker. They way to play poker, how to bet, how to raise, what to play, the odds that you have to get a pot, if you should bet, if your odds are too low, if the pots is high enough in cash for your numbers of outs, if your position on the table is good, which kind of players your playing, etc. Good reading for anyone interessting in learning how to play good poker.

I realised we really suck when we play between friends. Next time, I will know a lots more how to play. I will never play poker like before. That doesn't mean I will win thought hehe.

My friends bought WPT official chips like in this picture and one has a real poker table... Well a green table and places for your chips, its really cool. I started checking for chips too (these stuff are expensive). Only for 200 WPT chips with cards and the boxes, that was like 90$ (CAD) like 75$ US or so, I saw the big set at 380$ CAD (340$ US). I found a good site today thought on "Chips review". I have to check for the World Series of Poker one, they had good rating. The site is there: Poker Chip Reviews I will have to spend more time on that later, Poker is quite a world.

Funny thing, In Rounders, they talk about the World Series of Poker 1988 tournment. When checking on mininova, There was like 6 videos of the finals, and the 1988 was there. I checked it... Gooood one, god you should see the final win, it's good. What is fun about these videos is that they cut all the crap and only show the good play so they last like 30-40 minutes maximum, no ads.

Maybe once I reread my PDF again, (I still need to finish it). I might go try in a real casino, who know... (I don't even know if the casino in Montréal offer poker thought). It's starting to get on me... I have to reread it thought, its SO complicated.

My PSP was a good investment afterall

When I bought it, I was not sure I was going to play that much, but finally a powerfull portable gaming device is cool. I used it a lots during vacation, a lots while stuck 2 hours in traffic. I did play with my friend this weekend in wireless mode.. It's great so far. It just suck that most games coming out by the end of the year... I did a list of what I want thought if you want to get me a birthday and xmas present (not really).

Some good games I'm looking for, but not sure what I'm going to get:

Crash Tag Team Racing (Crahs bandicoot like mario kart)
GT4 Mobile (if that's ever get released, delayed over delay)
Godfather (depend of reviews)
Lemmings (depend of price)
Madden 06 (depend of review - 20 sept)
Mortal Kombat: Deception (Winter 2005), I'm a MK fan....
NBA live 06 (end 2005, I always like basketball game on PS1).
Prince of Percia: Warrior Within (My friend work at ubisoft, hmm maybe hehe)
Maybe 1 of the 2 star wars...
Tenchu: Shinobi Taizen (Tenchu, I liked that game on my PS1)
Virtua Tennis: World tour (Tennis is fun to play).
World Series of Poker (I hope its going to be like 20$)
World Soccer Winning Eleven (I wanted fifa, but so bad review, WE9 is going to be the game I bet, FIFA 06 is due after...)
Worms (working title) (Worms !! A classic)

Good games coming up (And I didn't listed that much)... I'm still hoping for one GPS devices. That's would probably rule.

And no I have no point of trying to get win95 running on my PSP even if its possible right now, it's quite useless. I stick with my emulators and my games !

Back to work....

Oh god, what a painful morning, you know you wake up after 2 weeks of vacation and your stuck to "go work", bleh.

I got at my desk, 5-6 notes waiting for me, 2-3 reports, lots of emails... Depressing. Then my half-boss come up and remember me I had a Outlook tranning... God what a good timing, I was able to learn some neet stuff (I'm in IT mind you) and half of the day was over. This afternoon, I did the bare minimum (Office space quote) (I was checking blogs)... But I can see the work in the next weeks from here. I have so many damn stuff "late" or incomplete, or problems to fixes. Oh well we shall see tomorow :)

Home sweet home !

It's good to be back home. (Except for the foods my mother was cooking everyday) I did really nothing since monday night. We had a match of America's Army that we lost like pig (I did play good (the best, not bad for someone who had not touch the mouse for a week)). I watched movies thought, lots of them. I did play some other games I can rarely play (Pharaoh for example). My PSP got a lots of attention too, Hot Shot Golf is so long ot finish, I am up to 240 matchs I think, and I still probably have 50-60 to do to finsihed all items. It's cool to have time thought, I want to finish that budget I started 6 months ago and I will probably will (I know most of it for me is: no expense on "useless stuff" or cut "expensive" activities but it's hard). Stupid money, I need to find a new source of revenue, but I already work everyday, not like I want to work more hehe. 2 days left of vacation, then weekend, then the pain is back ;). I remember when I used to be unemployed for 8 months, damn it was the good time (God know I leveled so much at EverQuest)

So goals are: Make a budget, watch more movies, play more, get a tons of cash, stop working, be happy for the rest of my life ! (with a women hopefully).

Simple isn't !

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

Oh Vacation !
